Nathan graduated 10 years ago from AUT and is based at our Silverdale clinic. He enjoys working in a busy and challenging environment where making an accurate diagnosis and providing the right course of treatment is critical.
His keen interest in sports physiotherapy has given him opportunities to travel with provincial and national Touch teams. This involves working closely with elite athletes while on tour to assist with injury prevention and rehabilitation to keep them on the field. One of Nathan’s career highlights was assisting one of the NZ men’s teams to a gold medal win at the 2015 Touch World Cup in Coffs Harbour Australia.
Growing up on the Hibiscus Coast, he has remained a keen sports person. This has given him personal experience in recovering from injuries and dealing with the many frustrations these can create.
Nathan places emphasis on making an accurate diagnosis, patient education, giving the right advice and exercises as well as providing effective manual therapy techniques. He enjoys working with people of all ages and activity levels.
Nathan values ongoing education and will complete his Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2016.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing touch, running, snowboarding, fishing, playing guitar and singing.
